Limited edition Squarespace template design

While established artists, bands, composers, sound designers, and other music professionals often have a bigger website budget, plenty more choose the DIY route using platforms like Squarespace. But out-of-the-box Squarespace templates aren’t designed with music professionals in mind. Plus, they use generic layouts and patterns, so they all look very similar, which is hardly ideal for a creative industry like music.

With input from music professionals worldwide, renowned web designer Andy Clarke has launched new limited edition Squarespace templates to help artists, bands, composers, sound designers, and other music professionals create visually stunning websites. These templates combine distinctive design with Squarespace’s clever functionality.

Inspired by the striking mid-century art direction of designer Lester Beall, “Beall” from Stuff & Nonsense is a premium website template designed for Squarespace 7.1. It’s an ideal choice for music composers and sound designers’ websites.

Easily customisable with brand colours and fonts

  • Add ReelCrafter reels to showcase your work

  • Includes about, discography, filmography, and project pages

  • Also includes photos, tour, videos, and more

Announcing the launch of his collection of Squarespace templates for music professionals, Andy Clarke said:

“For most of my career, I’ve encouraged designers and developers to learn from past design masters and make inspiring work for the web. Now, I’m making Squarespace templates to help them do just that.

Squarespace is a powerful platform for website design, and its Fluid Engine enables countless layouts. So, why do so many musicians’ websites look the same? Most follow the same design patterns we see everywhere online. However, an artist’s website can have a distinctive design packed with personality.

Inspired by the work of art directors and editorial designers, including Lester Beall, Bea Feitler, and Emmett McBain, this collection of unique Squarespace website templates will help music professionals create visually stunning websites that stand out from the crowd.”

Customisation service from only £480

Running a business is never easy, with plenty of tasks competing for your attention. Between accounting, client relationships, marketing, sales, and work, the list goes on and on. You could spend time customising a website template, but instead of trying DIY, Andy will customise your Beall template with your branding, colours, content, fonts, graphics, and images.

About Lester Beall

Lester Beall was a self-taught designer whose work combined modernist graphic design with expressive found imagery. Born in Missouri in 1903, Lester Beall was an American graphic designer and a leading proponent of modernist graphic design in the United States.

Beall was a self-taught graphic designer known for his advertising, corporate identity, editorial, and packaging work. After receiving a degree in art history from the University of Chicago and gaining experience as a designer in Chicago, Beall moved his studio to New York in 1935. Renowned designer Herb Lubalin said of him:

“Beall was responsible for taking American graphic design of the 1930s out of its mundane, tasteless form into the beginnings of what we know now as effective visual communication.”
